All of our pigs are raised outdoors without antibiotics or hormones, with access to pasture year round. All of our pigs are heritage breeds, mainly Berkshire, bred to thrive in the great outdoors & sought after by chefs for there great taste. Our pigs eat a varied diet of pasture and locally grown non-GMO grains, which is coupled with sunshine, exercise and plenty of space. After 3 weeks indoors in the brooder, they are moved into bottomless cages (called chicken tractors) that get moved onto fresh ground each day. This provides a diet of fresh grass and bugs along with an unmedicated mixture of grains and reduces the risk of predation. After another 3 weeks, they are given full free range access protected by electric mesh fence.
