Our Products

At Grovenland Farm we grow good, wholesome, natural food for our community using organic practices. We produce vegetables free of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Our Pastured Chickens, Pastured Pork, and Grass-Finished Beef enjoy a natural diet with fresh forage and without antibiotics.

Grass Finished Beef Our cattle are grass finished, unlike most that the beef industry produces, they will never receive a high grain diet but will be fed on the grasses and legumes that their bodies are designed to digest. Beef cuts are available year round. Bulk beef available in the fall/early winter. For more on the science and reasons why grass finished beef See ‘Grass-Fed Basics’ by Jo Robinson at eatwild.com

Pasture Raised Pork All of our pigs are raised outdoors without antibiotics or hormones, with access to pasture.  All of our pigs are heritage breeds, Berkshire Large Black cross, bred to thrive in the great outdoors & sought after by chefs for there great taste. Pigs can easily find about half of their diet out in the pasture if you let them, and the more varied their diet the tastier they are. We allow piglets to suckle for a longer period and give sows a longer rest time in their breeding cycle than industry practices.

Pasture Raised Chicken Our chickens are raised out in the pasture. After 3 weeks indoors in the brooder, they are moved into bottomless cages (we call them chicken tractors) that get moved each day.  This provides a diet of fresh grass and bugs along with an unmedicated mixture of grains and reduces the risk of predation. After another 3 weeks, they are given full free range access. Broiler chickens are raised only in summer and available starting July - October, or until sold out.
